When I saw The Rolling Stones, and when I saw Paul McCartney, they mostly played their old hits, with a new song here and there, and I just kinda waited for them to get back to the hits, the new stuff sucked. Yet when I saw The Boss his new stuff was still damn good, though it was still mostly hits (though nothing from Nebraska damnit). Is Springsteen's new music actually better than the new stuff the Stones and McCartney have put out in the last decade-or-so or am I crazy?

This was supposed to wind back into the conversation but I got sidetracked by a tangent

I've fallen down the DCAU rabbit hole super hard. Batman Beyond and Justice League were cornerstones of my childhood and it's unbelievable how well they and the entire universe still holds up.

Also, I missed so much of themes/jokes when I was a kid. BB has drug themes everywhere and Hawk Girl makes more sex references then some HBO shows.

    Comedy is also TOP.
"Batman to all points. I could use some air support. Since I can't fly. At all." [just seconds before he hits the ground] "Now would be good."

And Flash is the greatest/funniest Super Hero in the entire universe. He's like there Zayne Carrick in a lot of ways. Lives by what it truly means to be a superhero/Jedi better then any of there contemporaries regardless of skill.

If only the DC movies were half as fun. The Flash is getting there.
Anyone who wants to direct a DC superhero property should forced to marathon these shows first.

They can’t be fun, dark and brooding, DARK AND BROODING, DARKER AND MORE BROODING! Is the only mode they are allowed.

Indeed, so you lay that Sheev off and quit with the three-dimensionalising of his name. Palpatine is Palpatine, none of this three-dimensional Sheev.

It's great that Sheev is so magnificently evil that the petty levels of evil are completely beneath him. Even those readers who feel like the Empire should treat some humans worse than others usually mention that Palpatine personally doesn't care, he's just exploiting the prejudices.

I like the Eddie Izzard gag that sets up the Death Star Canteen routine:

I could write a really good What Star Wars Can Learn From Chappie, actually--it'd just be like 300 words long.

Amen to that. I hope I live long enough to see a live action movie reboot where they take that advice and run with it.

The Flash is indeed making up for it, can't wait to see Mark Hamill's playing the Trickster again next week.

Only Doctor Who could have a 10th Anniversary almost two years after its 50th Anniversary. :D

Last year was the fifteenth of audio Who, and next year is the 20th of the failed revival attempt/the TV Movie/Paul McGann's gift to humanity.

Either Die Antwoord is the one thing that leaves us incapable of concisely explaining the nature of our species to aliens... or they're the key to it. Only time will tell.
