    Arrow was always Nolan Batman-lite.

Yeah, ever since Ra's al Ghul and the League of Shadows became involved, it seemed pretty clear to me they were going for a Batman story without actually having Batman to work with.

What is this? Cynical_Ben actually living up to his name?

He's being cynical about their prospects for delivering a film that's not cynical, so, still kind of sticking to subverting the name.

Only now, at the end, do I realize my response to Jello should have been "We are sending a squad up."

Was just visited by the former Labour MP for my constituency. Which was great, because I'd been wanting to have a chat with the guy for a while.

I just wish I'd been dressed.

MPs visiting people that are not dressed...

I'd like to say that's not a common story, but it seems to be in the news all too often. :p

So I was finishing The Dying TIme (Saga of the Gray Death Legion) and there was a bit that made me do a double take. Among the mercenaries, mentioned once or twice only in the very final battle, there was a pilot called Jason Fry. I wonder if Jason knows about this. Someone should tell him that apparently he's a MechWarrior.

I've still not read beyond RSURS.

Part of my new policy of "don't read anything that isn't already a complete series".

I'm tired of forgetting everything between releases.

Red Seas Under Red Skies. The second book in the series that Ben and Hav are (rightly) salivating over.

It's not just you, I've been doing that for the last few years but there's one problem - I end up with one hell of a to-read pile and no time to reduce it!

    Oh well, can't have everything...

I'll re-read Lies and Skies once the series is complete, I'm certain. Before then? Nah.

It's not just that I forget so much between releases that gets me, it's the frustration I feel when I finish a book, know there's more to come, and I can't continue immediately. I no longer have any patience at all.
