Infinite empire and timeline

    according to time tales the infinite empire was still around during the creation of the old republic... that they ruled across the galaxy... that hyperspace travel was invented by corellians... so how did rakatans travel faster than light? did the rakatans conquer the core worlds?

    Force-powered ships. Hyperdrive capability wouldn't be an issue, particularly if they met up with whichever race introduced the drive to the galaxy down the road. The "Corellian" thing is still a hypothetical at the moment. After the Rakata lost their Force sensitivity, they were forced to resort to "conventional" means of conveyance.
