COJ: No, that dialogue is really bad. When I can look at it and I know I can write better, that's when I know it has to be from a bad source.

True, granted there were some parts of TPM that didn't quite flow right either.

I'm still chewing on the "Nubian Jedi" ship bit. Isn't the "flying wing" Padmé's official senatorial ship that gets blown up in the first five minutes?

Also isn't the second Nubian ship (Amidala's ship from TPM) belong to Queen Jamilla and is loaned to Anakin and Padmé for the trip to Tatooine?

I thought the Jedi travel to Geonosis in the blocky triangularish-shaped republic transports.

Yeah that Jedi Nubian stuff sounds suss, but thats what I got here...

" ANAKIN and PADME head towards GEONOSIS in the JEDI CARRIER." and

" The SLEEK SILVER VESSEL is heading towards the murky planet of GEONOSIS in search of OBI WAN-KENOBI" and

" The NUBIAN VESSEL lands in a large opening surrounded by TOWERING ROCK FORMATIONS"

" ANAKIN and PADME head towards GEONOSIS in the JEDI CARRIER."

That sounds really odd. That would have to mean that Anakin and Padmé abandon Jamilla's ship on Tatooine and then find a different one to fly to Geonosis.

They didn't take a 'Jedi Carrier' to Naboo in the first place as they supposedly hopped a Coruscant public transport. To get to Tatooine they borrow Jamilla's ship and they keep it through the rest of the film, I believe.

" The SLEEK SILVER VESSEL is heading towards the murky planet of GEONOSIS in search of OBI WAN-KENOBI"

" The NUBIAN VESSEL lands in a large opening surrounded by TOWERING ROCK FORMATIONS"

Both of these seem to refer to Anakin and Padmé.

I have no interest in disparaging you- I'm just interested to see exactly what it is you've got. I figured at this point you wouldn't particularly care.

This thread's going to become a classic. Someday somebody whould sift through all the threads and make an archive of the major trolling ones, the major spoiler releases etc.

anywho, we need a full recap on this.

if i had to be cynical about it:

i'd guess that "Insider" Goonie here made all that stuff up himself (no sources, no inside spies, no nothing) and didnt realize how much the JCers would tear it apart. looks like he went into evasive damage control as soon as that happened (ie. "oh well i guess it was bad info... keep in mind my first spy report!"). can we get TF.N to even confirm that this is the *same* Goonie that sent in that spy report???

if i had to be positive about it:

either way, i'm sure his intentions were relatively harmless, "just for fun".

Well, Goonie has in another thread provided a fairly accurate description of the reasoning behind Shmi's little sojourn into the desert. It seems that his in this instance was wrong, he has learned his lesson I'm sure. Make sure it's verified before going public, you save face that way in case it's not correct. I don't think he meant any harm and was just very excited about what he had in his possession, which is understandable. We all would have been.

    So what does this prove?

This proves that even "trusted" sources can be wrong.

So how much on TF.N do we actually trust?
