Insider's Guide to Celebration II - Part I
    April 29, 2002

There is so much to do at Star Wars Celebration II this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the Indiana Convention Center. For months we've been announcing guests, special events, demonstrations, and activities. Rumor had it that we might save time by announcing who would NOT be at Celebration II rather than who would be there.
Time has flown by, and in the excitement you may have forgotten some of the plans you made way back in February for your Celebration II weekend. Or, you may have overlooked something that you would really hate to miss.

To jog your memory, and to help you catch all the richness of Celebration II, starwars.com is offering Parts I - IV of The Insider's Guide to Celebration II. Today, tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday, check back here, and keep looking forward to the best Star Wars fan party ever.

Start the Celebration morning with at little Young Jedi Training for your kids in the Serpentine Lobby, or Yavin. At scheduled times throughout the day, classes of Padawan learners can train under a Jedi Master. They'll learn how to use their lightsabers so they will be ready for any surprises. And surprises just might be on the menu for the young apprentices! See daily schedules for times.

Who of the artistic among us hasn't wished to know more about what the Art Directors at Lucasfilm are looking for in a portfolio? It's time to learn on Saturday May 4, at 10:00 AM in Naboo (Rooms 201-204). Presenting a Good Portfolio -- Ask the Lucas Licensing Art Directors is not to be missed. Learn what Art Directors Troy Alders and Iain Morris look for. What's good, what's bad, and what makes a lasting impression.

It would be a shame to let Celebration II go by without catching a show with one of the most vibrant and endearing actors -- Warwick Davis. Warwick, who played Ewok Wicket W. Warrick in Return of the Jedi, has been busy recently with the Harry Potter films. He is probably best known for his role in the film Willow. Warwick will be appearing on stage with MC Scott Chernoff in Tatooine, or the 500 Ballroom at 5:30 PM on Saturday, May 4. Question and answer session included.

Whatever age kid you are, Attack of the Clones and The Phantom Menace concept artist Iain McCaig will have a Star Wars drawing class for you to enjoy. Iain will be teaching a Master Drawing Class for adults in the Star Wars Kids' Room from 5:15 -- 7:00 PM on Friday, May 3. McCaig will teach "A Day in the Star Wars Art Department" for kids and their parents on Saturday May 4 from 10:00 AM -- Noon, and Sunday May 5 from 10:00 AM -- Noon, both in the Kids' Room (101-103).

Shopping, shopping, shopping. You can keep shopping in the Celebration II store for exclusive merchandise, even if you don't want to check another bag at the airport. There will be a UPS Shipping station located right next to the store, open every day of the event.
