Edmonton Inter-fanforce event: Calgary and Edmonton BBQ @ Sylvan

So when we met up with the CFF last weekend we came up with an idea to have a mid-way BBQ somewhere around Sylvan (one of their members mentioned a place which I can't recall now). I was going to wait until we had a date nailed down for SHFD, but that could take awhile

Either way there's no reason we can't use the time to pick a location and make sure everyone has plenty of advance warning.

So, post a date that works for you and I'll talk to Calgary and see if we can get something worked out.

Hello everyone!

I know this has kind of fallen to the backburner in recent weeks (with Parades, Stampede, K-days, etc...). There has been a new development as far as the date goes: there will be a Comic and Toy Fair in Calgary on August 20th, and it's a 501st/Jedi Costuming event... (see this thread for details).

Looks like we'll have to come up with another date...

It is unfortunate that an event we had agreed on back in May is being cancelled in favor of something that has come up later.

 

Yeah, but they're huge into costuming down there so we'll forgive them...this time.
