Buff, NY INTEREST - BPO Concert - Old Falls St - 7/20/13

What: Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Summer Performance

The director of the Conference and Events center at Old Falls Street has invited us to participate with the BPO summer performance that they are hosting. The concert is a tribute to John Williams and Star Wars Music is planned for the finale.

I have asked if the BPO is ok with this as well as the host as well as requested secure changing areas. The time is still being determined and will be updated shortly.

This is a costumed event with assistance needed for a photographer (we will not be taking pictures for guests, they will need their own camera) and one or two handlers, based on the number of costumers and type of costumes available.

As surprising as it is, unavailable. This concert was originally a Rock show at Hard Rock Cafe, I took it off months ago. They changed the concert and location just before Bisons night.
I have now something planned with family and friends.

 

I am working that day. Depending on time we're needed, I could be available as either a handler or Jedi.

 

I can be available to offer assistance.

 

That's my birthday! Alas I've made other plans so I will not be able to make it.

This is my home town and I won't be available for this one... I will be out of town on Saturday, not returning until later that evening.

According to a poster I've seen, the concert starts at 5:00 PM.
It looks like it might be an outdoor concert.

i will not be able to attend.
i am playing manager at work until my boss gets back from vacation.

 

I'm out for this, I am at Shakespeare all day. I actually got asked to do the setup and tear down of the stage for this event by the Stage Hands Union, but can't even do that.

 

Any updates on details for this?

Here is the update I received:

Your members may change in their costumes inside the Conference & Event
Center Niagara Falls
101 Old Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY 14303. Any of their belongings
will be secure there as well.

We will have parking in the back parking lot. When they arrive, they may
call me or ring the bell at the staff door at the back of the building.

The concert starts at 5 with the BPO taking the stage at 7.

I reached out again to see what time we are needed. I do not know, nor does our contact know what songs they are performing. The BPO portion is a tribute to John Williams with Star Wars playing last.

 

Mindy and I will be out of town for the day and returning late from a large family engagement.
