Interesting....am I missing something?

While in different forums, the links to other forums at the top right are always different.

Example: somethimes it will say: Star Wars Community, or sometimes it will say: Star Wars Miscilanious(spelling).

Sometime you can't access the saga forum from the 3SA.


Anyway, my real point of confusion:





I was in the 3SA and I was scrolling through the forums at the right. I saw two new ones.

Political parties and elections.

Whats that about?

Did I miss something.

Both lead to an error page.

 

Those are game threads. Notice the word "Game" in there. Those old links need to be removed from the drop-down menu.

The dropdown menu hasn't been made uniform throughout the forums, possibly due to the lack of a global update option (?).

Last year there was a political game run in a new, separate forum.

The link to that forum hasn't been removed from that particular drop-down menu.

 

Oh no, not the JC Election game again...

And to think that poor Sape had to mod that thing before becoming Head Admin...

That thing was a nightmare.

 

You thought it was a nightmare, huh? We had response threads in every forum, public and private. And running it was no easy task.

 

That's what I mean--there was stuff about it EVERYWHERE. I can't imagine trying to respond to all the PMs that you probably got about it.

 

Well, it did go to show how unwieldy and difficult any kind of elections are here.

I could have sworn that all the styles that were in use at the time were switched across to the new version of the drop-down that used an externally linked script for the items, unless someone copied one of the old styles to create a new one.

 

Sape: Not to mention the countless "recruiting" threads, manual signiture link ads, and PM spam. And that's just before the controversy of sock voting, stuffed ballots, and other types of cheating.

We did get to blow up a Death Star though.
