So in other words, it'll be even easier for the All Blacks this year?

We've got some games against France coming up, but the ticket prices are insanely expensive for what will likely be a less exciting game of rugby than I'd get from an AUS v NZ match. Plus your mob don't smell of garlic and entitlement.

World Cup next year so it's all the usual "building / prep" phase this year. Hopefully Aussie and South Africa get some good matches later this year. We are playing the USA in Chicago too, which I guess is some genius marketing /PR move.

Marketing, perhaps, rugby has never had much of a following here in the US and has been a niche sport for decades. But with AIG being based in the US, it only made sense to have the All Blacks come here. The word I've been hearing is that if the game brings in a good sized crowd then we will likely be seeing them here more often and a greater rugby presence on US television. The NZ v USA game will be broadcast on network television here, something which hasn't happened in years.

I'm making tentative plans to attend the game. Chicago is just a 6 hour drive away and the trip would allow for a nice long weekend away from home.

I saw it at 9 ENG 6 NZ, but I'm guessing it's moved on score wise?

And it's become incredibly boring. All penalties, no tries, though second half is more expansive.

Ugh, more dropped balls in NZL v ENG than there are in a boys locker room. And I hate kicking games.

At least the American contingent of the All Blacks' fanbase can now get some sleep.

That was the worst game I think I have ever watched.

The first games of the season tend to be the worst. I'm just happy they won. A win is still a win even if it is done by the skin of your own teeth.

Well done NZ, they cranked it up a notch in the second half and turned the pressure into points.

I only heard the match on the radio so have no visual interpretation of what went on. Why can't England keep their discipline and why did the ref not bin a Kiwi after their 4th or 7th minute final warning?

I got the impression that if we (England) made changes earlier we may not have had such a mountain to climb towards the end...

It was so much better game, and from half time England never looked like winning, even though there was only a point in it at the end. In the first 10 the ref was setting guidelines, and nothing was binable. Having said that the English sending off around the 60th minute was ridiculous.

Maybe, but binable or not, a final warning is a final warning and Robshaw should have been all over the ref when the AB's were pinged next. Final warning + another penalty is a card, regardless of how serious / borderline the offense is.

I was hopeful about tries / threat from the backs this week as England's back line obviously gelled throughout the 6 nations championship. I just wish we would have stopped kicking it to the NZ back 3 lol.

I wish I saw the match to have a better bearing on it all, lol.

Aussies vs French? France need to pull something out of the bag to stand a chance.

It depends what type of infringement the final warning was for. I can't recall the warnings you're talking about, to be honest.

I believe it was for offside, but I wouldn't bet my house on it.

Sure, I wouldn't expect a high tackle to trigger a card if the warning was for offside, for instance.
