I found the nearest digital theater (that I'm aware of) is in northern Cincy. My roommate and I were planning to daytrip up there for ROTS (not necessarily on opening weekend). Anyone interested?

Is it? I've been trying to find one here, but I've only lived here for a couple months. So, yeah, if Stonybrook is digital, I'm there.

I was only going on the guide provided by TF.N

Sorry guys, Stoneybrook is not digital, they do have the Imax theater though. Cincy Springdale is the closest. you can check them out on line.

It was sad hearing George Lucas say that the number of Digital theaters has DROPPED since Clones. Down from the 130+ number to about 90 total. Yes, Cincy is it for us.

I totally agree. I can understand theaters not wanting to shell out the cost of installing a DLP system, but, man, it sure is superior. I saw AotC in DLP in Cincy back in 2002, and it was just gorgeous...no pops, no cracks, and so much vibrancy. Like Rick said in his presentation on Saturday, the number of people who just "wait for the DVD" instead of going to the theater is on the rise, and at least part of that has to be the fact that a lot of people have much better home video/audio systems than the theaters have these days.
