Grammar/Spelling test

This is one of the most accurate and intensive grammar quizzes I've seen on the web. Great way to test yourself or a potential beta reader, maybe? I really think they should use something like this for reviewers at the archive.

 

Okay, weird, my network claims it's pornography. I've never thought of THAT before.

 

I get an Error 503 message- page could not be displayed.

Ish, I once had the Home and Garden Channel website be blocked as porn on a computer once *sigh*

 

Well, it blocks things like comics sites if they have an inappropriate word.

Maybe because they're are other quizzes on the site with questionable content? I dunno.

Too bad, it's a really good quiz.

What's weird is that on this computer I don't have a filter. So I don't know why I can't see it... and with two betawans, I really could have used that site.

 

LOL. I got 99% on the grammar section of the ACT's, but then I became completely bilingual and had to think in Spanish most of the time, so my grammar started to slip.

 

Jen, how on earth could the HGTV site be blocked as porn? You're computer is weird.

 

It was the school computer and their filter. And don't ask me how they blocked it as porn.

Then the filter let through the site Yahoogroups.com (but leave out one of the two 'o's in Yahoo) and that was a lot worse, let me tell you. The sites you discover when you type to fast...

 

Must have been all that hot, sweaty cross pollination of African violets

Well, it worked for me. It was a great quiz... Good to see things like loose/lose and whose/who's in there -- those tend to be the ones that are most often confused.

Can't say that I noticed any porn there, so I don't know what the blocking was about...

 

And now it works for me too! I think the server was just down or something.

 

I tried to take the quiz, but the advertisement banner scared me off. lol It's was indeed advertising porn websites. *shudders* That might have been why it's been blocked on some users computers.

 

Yeah, the top banner has porn, but I just scrolled down until it was hidden. It was a good quiz! I did pretty well.

 

Ha, MiaTieska let me use her computer and I'm apparently an English Genius. I should hope so if I'm an English major.

Maybe somebody could add the link to this wonderful time line (I think it might even be from this site?)where the books, games, short stories etc. are listed in chronological order because I ABSOLUTELY MISPLACED IT.
I know I'm stupid....

 

For my novel Another Hope, I used Star Wars Insider magazine for the tech specs f, as well as the star wars technical commentaries. I also spent some time at nasa.gov to stop thinking globally and start thinking universally. I also read the short fiction in the New Yorker to get a feel for the dialogue that different characters use. Since I can't seem to find adequate architectural resources for the Naberrie family retreat, I am currently designing what I think it would look like, given the images that I have seen in the movie and what characters have said about it.

 

Here's the Ultimate Timeline. And here's Time Tales. I think one of these may be what you're looking for.

 

Does anyone have a link for the timeline of characters' births? It was posted here a long time ago and I remember it wasn't completely accurate, but I can't seem to find it anywhere
