SWRPF Archive Inya'osii ka'rta'tua - A Mandalorian Story

I'm really not sure if I can just post here like this guys so forgive me if I can't.

My story centers around 6 Mandalorian commmandos around the NJO period. None are of a specific clan and are available as mercenaries-for-hire. The leader of the group is force-sensitive, but has received no training. When he is in danger, he gets a warning feeling and this has kept him alive during many battles.

We start off at the end of an assignment and then we are plunged into the Vong War. This effectivly renders the leaders force-sensitivity useless.

If you decide to join, please state your armour specs (colour, built-in weapons), the name of the commando you want to play and your weapon of choice.

You can choose, lightsabre colour, must be a Knight though, no Masters! Male or Female. Create a background.

(We need a main Vong enemy pursuing our heroes.)

Is it possible to go ahead and start, and maybe a few of us could have other characters such as Vong or Peace Brigaders?

 

Hmmm. . I'm thinking maybe I'll be a Vong? Any problems? Maybe multiple Vongs, since there doesn't seem to be many takers?

Inya'osii ka'rta'tua - A Mandalorian Story


Caru waited.

The target was inside the warehouse. These next 5 minutes were vital. The signals from his sensors told him there were 14 men in the building.

Business had been sparse since the galaxy had been plunged into war. He didn't think the invaders would make it to the Mid-Rim.

He was surprised that he'd placed some faith in the Republic. Cowards.

Ah. Finally.

The last member of this gang had arrived.

He checked the comm was secure.

"Inaz?"

"Yessir."

"Fire on my mark. Neutralizing shots only"

"Yessir."

"Showtime.." Caru thought.

TAG: Inaz.

 

IC: Inaz


"Yessir."

Inaz smirked as his crosshairs centered in on the newcomer. All too easy...

The Mandalorian had been camped half a klick from the target sight for three standard hours, awaiting the 'Go' code.

Nuetralizing shots only, eh? That's no fun...these scum deserve to die.

He spoke into the comm once more. "Ready to fire, sir."

"Ok Inaz, start shooting on my mark."

This Peace Brigader scum were too predictable.

Ok, they were all inside the building. When Inaz shot, he'd get Rende to blow open the door. Then he'd make his charge.

"3, 2, 1....Now."

This was going to be a breeze...

"3, 2, 1....Now."


Inaz moved his crosshairs from the target's head to his right shoulder. If they're nuetralizing shots, I'm going to make sure they can't draw their weapons...

He pulled the trigger, and a single scarlet beam lanced through the sky, piercing the target's shoulder. The Peace Brigader was down before he even heard the shot.

The other PB agents scattered throughout the warehouse, behind crates, pillars, anything. Unfortunately, for the Peace Brigaders anyway, most of them were still wide open to Inaz's shots.

One after another fell to the destruction Inaz wreaked upon them. None of the shots were fatal, just nuetralizing shots...sometimes I hate following orders.

Now its Rende's turn...

Rende

"Setting charges," Rende said, looking over the careful wiring and the strip tape that just refused to stick. He'd need a few more seconds before he'd light the fuse and hold it against the door.

"Fragging tape," He muttered, the tape finally deciding to stick. He pressed the timer and ducked along the outside of the door.

"Clear!"

The door exploded with a spectacular display of debris and fire.

Wow, he's good... Though Caru as he observed Rende's work.

There was a commotion inside. Seems he wasn't the only one to have seen Rende's work.

Well, that wasn't surprising...

"Now!" Caru shouted into the mic in his helmet. Grut and Scaw should burst in soon.

Without a second thought, Caru sprinted towards his opening and jumped through the window. He landed, rolled and brought his blaster to bear,shooting his attacker's limbs.

Neutralising shots only. Remember.

That familiar voice echoed inside his head. He knew what it was, he'd been told he was force-sensitive. He didn't want the life of a Jedi though. But it gave him the edge in the hunt.

Behind you!

Caru threw himself to the left, dodging a hail of blaster fire, and caught his attacker with a shot in the shoulder.

LEFT!

Too late. The shot rang out. Caru turned to see a blaster trained on him. It dropped to the floor. Followed by a body with a hole in it's chest. Caru quickly through himself behind a crate. Cover, at last.

"Saving your skin again boss?"

"That's two I owe you Inaz" Caru chuckled. Inaz had stopped him from being killed twice now. Caru wanted to even the score, "I'd save your skin, but you have to hide from a distance and shoot."

"Do you want my next shot to find its way between your le-"

A yell over the comm cut him off.

"Caru! I'm pinned down. There are more bodyguards than we expected!"

"On my way Scaw."

OOC: I'll take over the character of Pyte until we find a replacement.

 

IC: Inaz

"Caru! I'm pinned down. There are more bodyguards than we expected!"

Sithspawn! Inaz thought. I can't cover him from here...I'll have to break cover and go.

Inaz emerged from his cover, and sprinted towards his speeder, safely hidden away half a klick away. Once there, he jumped in and sped towards the warehouse.

IC: Pyte

Data streamed across the screen.

Pyte was glad she wasn't at the battlefield. She was guarding the ship. A heavily, illegally modified Correlian YT-2400 freighter. She'd had an uplink installed that allowed her to connect to surrounding computer networks.

Including the one in the warehouse her comrades were fighting at.

Ah. Aha. The power server.

"Guys, I'm cutting the power in there. Switch to night-vision."

"No sithsp-"

She hit the button. The power grid cut out.

"Calm down Scaw. Just helping you less intelligent people."

Pyte had an IQ of 307. She'd tuned the ship so it could slip in anywhere undetected.

"Pyte!"

"Inaz."

"I need the gate at the front of this complex opened!"

"Just a sec."

She'd hacked the gates as soon as they'd landed. But she couldn't get to the link inside the building. She'd given Caru a small uplink node. Once he plugged that in, they'd have all Peace Brigader activity and movements for the next 6 months.

Of course, to make it seem like an accident, the team would destroy the warehouse and make it look like an accident. Then, they'd get out of this place.

Pyte checked the monitors. Inaz was approaching.

But apparantly, they'd locked her back out. And changed the passkey.

"Pyte! I need that gate open!"

"Inaz! Shut up! I need to concentrate!"

Pyte's fingers flew over the keypad. Hmm. Not good. Inaz was going to be a lot thinner if she didn't do anything.

Success. She was in.

"About damn time!"

"You're welcome."

Oh...hello

Someone was approaching the ship.

She grabbed her weapon and waited for the poor soul to walk up the ramp.
