Join us next Tuesday, October 28 at Barnes and Noble (in the upstairs corner with no chairs) as we discuss the final book in the Force Heretic trilogy: Reunion. We'll probably also discuss some pointless stuff, make fun of Steve for the lobster thing (again) and, oh yeah, engage in some good old-fashioned Lucas bashing.

I hope you all can be there.

    lol :)

I'll probably get there early to have some of their very strong coffee. If anyone wants to meet in the cafe, it's on me. Literally, I'll probably spill the coffee.

    Peace,

    Edric

    I almost forgot:

"When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie that's Nom Anor-eeeeee"

Sung to the tune of that Dean Martin diddy.

    See ya!

I wish I could have been with all of you last night. However, my Dad turned 55 today, but we decided to go out last night at the last minute. I hope to see you at the next general meeting on the 8th at 4pm at comic quest. I'm actually a totally different person on the weekends. :) :) Not quite as reserved :)

    Peace,

    Edric

Sorry for the late post. This month has kind of slipped away from me...

Next Tuesday, November 25th, at 6:30 p.m. at Barnes and Noble we will be discussing the next to last book in the controversial New Jedi Order series, "The Final Prophecy" by Greg Keyes.

Come fill up on some Star Wars goodness on Tuesday before filling up on turkey on Thursday. (Actually, I guess you could bring turkey to the meeting if you really wanted to, but NO CRANBERRY SAUCE. It's too messy.)

Aww, I was gonna bring the cranberries and make the cranberry sauce there. :(

I was gonna have you all take off your shoes and stomp the berries.

You know, Adam, TF.N doesn't charge by the thread. You can post each Book Club meeting announcement in a new thread so people don't have to go to page 3427.34 to read it...

The reason he made it a singular thread was because the book club threads had become unusually popular, no need for name calling

EDIT: It's even in the first post! Which I saw when I posted this! omg! d00d, u r teh suck.

You mean the first post way back on page 1? You see it's been about 10 years since it was posted and since I read it. I'm too busy navigating to page 6.02 * 10^23 to see it.

While I might have found a more... diplomatic way to say, Stackpole is essentially right. Way back on page one we decided to just start a book club thread and keep it going. Honestly, I'm wanting to see how many pages it can go to before the TF.N system crashes. :)

But more seriously, Nathan, just click on the latest number below the thread title and it will take you to the last page. No wading through all the rest to get here. What's the big deal about that?

Since this is the home for your bookclub, would you mind changing the title to something along those lines? Preachrman007 It'll make my job a little easier...thanks!

The Book Club thread is the big one with ridiculous title :p

Yes, I am aware there are numbers by the thread title. However, if you click on those numbers, the message board system doesn't register that you're seeing the latest post, and it keeps the thread marked as unread. You have to click on the thread title to get rid of the bold type. So, I have to click on the title, and then quickly click the number. Else, I wouldn't be able to tell when something new was posted. Will doing that kill, maim, or in any way harm me? No. Is it a big deal? No. Is it still nonetheless annoying? Yes.

In the end, I really don't care one way or another. It just seemed an inefficient way of announcing meetings to me, and I was curious as to why you were doing it that way.

Ironically enough, because it's more efficient :p

And all you need to do is click the last number and when the page loads, hit the 'end' key. Then page up as needed.

It's not a horrible way o go...since book clubs are sort of ongoing events, having all the discussion in one place is very helpful
