I thhought they had Oded Fehr ( The Mummy, Sleeper Cell ) already signed.

To my disappointment, he says that he has not been asked to contribute to the movie yet, but heres hoping.

Maybe. But as it pains me to say it, Tony's most distinguishing characteristic is his mustache. Almost anyone (competent)could play him.

Thats a terrible disservice to Stark unless your meaning it as a physical characteristic. Hes one of the most complex comic book characters ever, or at the very least he evolved into one.

 

I agree. He's an extremely interesting and fairly complex guy.

 

I always had respect for his character, but as far as the Civil War series is going, he's a complete douchebag and tool.

I misspoke. I meant to say PHYSICAL characteristic. I am aware of his emotional complexities and am making a fan trailer right now which directly addresses all of those, hoping that the movie will pick them up.

 

in all honesty i don't really care about the mustache. it's how the character is played that i'm concerned about

 

I love his character and can sympathize with his point of view, even though I think that it's misguided.

 

For all the die-hard IRON MAN fans waiting in eager anticipation for 2008, here is a little something I whipped up to help pump the excitement. It is partly meant to introduce the character to the general public, and partly remind all the powers that be how seriously us fans take this character. Made entirely by me with my own software (and healthy scanner), it is watchable now:::

I have no idea if this is legitimate or not, but are ALLEGED to be officially rejected versions of the Iron Man Armor. This is floating around the net so I figured may as well put it here:::

That looks fan made to me. But if it's legit, i'm thankful it was rejected.

 

It shows several steps in the right direction, namely the color scheme and a decided NON-Robocop non-bulky look. The armor is supposed to be a fine steel mesh and thats what this looks like. I dont like the shape of the whole thing, but hopefully thats why it was rejected.

 

That pic is awful, he looks like an action figure.

It would fit into the 2008 release timeline if Oded Fehr was going to be Iron Man, as he is currently tied up with the Resident Evil moive series for at least another year.

 

Someone brought this up in the YJCC Iron Man thread but what about Jonathan Frakes as Tony Stark?
