    See, I would, but then I'd have to kill you. But oddly enough, I'm doing some hard-surface roto at the moment so I am indeed using beziers. But any other day, B-splines is where it's at. And Silhouette Roto kicks everyone's ass on this board:cool:

    You know, making a stink about being at the top of the page is about as lame as bragging about your multiple-tens-of-thousands post count. [face_whistling]

    I like how the social threads take 10 pages or so before we actually get away from the thread-shock and back to our normal random selves.

    Just got my internet fixed, by the way. The modem was dying. I'll be claiming the tops of threads again before you can say "Vidina Shmidina".

    So, I work at a news station, and I found this interesting story when I got to work. This guy is an idiot.

    The only thing funnier, would be if there was an idiot at the bank that accepted it.

    It's entirely possible we're talking about the same thing and my terminology is wrong.

    Oh well, it's close enough. Where's my recognition? I demand tribute.

    EDIT: Hey, I got post 64 on this one. Nice... Nintendo ftw.

    B-splines don't have handles. They are controlled by adjusting the tension on the points. Beziers, in comparison, can get messy since there are two handles per point. My rule of thumb: beziers for hard-surface roto, and b-splines for organic stuff. But yeah, I endorse your original link...embrace teh roto you babies, it gets you jobs and stuff.

    I would stab both of my eye balls out before I 'embraced teh roto'. That being said, sometimes it's a necessary evil.

    I forgot to read the TOS :D It's in there, right? :p

    Perhaps the next social thread should be titled "The most pedantic thread ever"? 8-}

    I used to smoke about a pack a day. But now I'm in Chicago and cigs are like, 9 bucks a pack. So unless they're BOGO, I usually only smoke 2 a week.

    That actually was going to be my user name, but it was too long for the board to accept. Hence, this one.

    That, and I believe it involved Vaportrail peeing his pants.

    It's lost in the smoky fog, and in something of a daze, so I'm confused as to remembering exactly what happened.
