JCC Is a spoiler a spoiler if nobody cares about it?

That's one of the things that kills me about TVTropes, they'll white out spoilers for things that have been out for years, and for "Who cares?" kind of stuff. I know they don't want to ruin the surprise for those who haven't read or seen that particular media, but you would think for something that has been out there for a while, if you haven't partaken of it yet, it's on you, so don't go crying when people go around talking about Bruce Willis being a ghost the whole time.

The kind of spoilers I'm talking about might be something like the mysterious shadowy crime boss figure in the sixth Police Academy movie being revealed to be the mayor character played by Kenneth Mars. Nobody cares about that, right?
