Even Christianity says we are all made in the image and likeness of god but that doesn't mean we are all Jesus.

 

As others have said people may be creations of God however we are not all Jesus. This is beside the point however. And no that's not the point Lucas was making with TPM - he was creating a clear distinction between Anakin and everyone else.

The fact of the matter is that, unlike every other being in the galaxy, Anakin's paternal genetics are quite literally the Force itself. This makes him half divine. This makes him a demiGod. Every other being in the galaxy has a mortal father - Anakin's father is divine. Your argument is essentially that Anakin is just like every other mortal person - he very clearly is not.

 

No. He was not. I don't buy his jedi christ storyline either. IMO Shmi was just taken advantage of and she may have been drugged or ashamed. but she was not exactly ivy league educated herself....

This reminds me of the "Superman is Christ" idea that Bryan Singer tried to push on moviegoers in 2006's "SUPERMAN RETURNS".

 

It really doesn't. It suggests it, but doens't come out and say anything. And IMO was never portrayed as being that special.

 

What possible evidence is there in the films that Shmi was not that clever?

As for being taken advantage of and drugged, this is Star Wars. It's family entertainment not something that Tarantino might direct. Your suggestion is, quite frankly, ludicrous.
