Is Anakin the chosen one?

Aside from Yoda saying that Anakin being the chosen one was a prophesy misread and obi yelling to a gimpy Anakin, you were the chosen one. I still think that Anakin is the chosen one. The one who will bring balance to the force. I feel that Anakin did that when he joined Palpatine. Once he did, Palpatine exicuted order 66. Which killed off all the Jedi, but 2. There were 2 Jedi and 2 dark lords of the Sith. A balace between good and evil. A balace that was there until the Jedi wiped out the Sith during the Sith Wars.

Well, to bring balence is to practically eliminate the Sith. He did the in Episode VI, so technically he is the chosen one.

well...yeah i guess that is true. MASTERTHOR is correct; by killing Palpatine in "jedi" he was the chosen one; just not really the way the prophecy had intended.

He indeed eliminate only one of the Sith. The other himself. So insted of reciving help from luke, he took his helmet of and died. Both of the Sith were dead. He let himself die meaning there was still good in him and was later redemed by obi and yoda.
