Can maya export in .obj format? If it can then lemme know because I can help you trasnfer it to 3ds max when that time comes.

i can export OBJ files yes
but what use would it be to you its been made in maya you'd have to re-texture it and stuff (if it ever gets textured)

and morpher-2005 i'm starting a fan film with this model thats mostly about grievous.
    interested?

Yea, I have Zbrush so I could easily texture it in there and all again. Then do the biped and everything in max as well as the cloth sim.

Pretty Cool, but they look like holsters, not pockets. It looks like something hard, not like cloth.

I'm guessing riging means getting different body parts availible to animate (I'm a noob at 3d work).

its rather hard to animate this model my model has quite alot of moving parts and i kinda messed up my first attempt at rigging so its gonna take a little longer than i thought

If rigging is what i think it is, I may be able to help. Is it where you set up the bones on a character and set the inverse kinematics and constrants? If it is, I can help you. I've learned how to doo it, so if you want me to do it for you, PM me

If you want i can do a very basic rig, export it out in .obj or something, and then send it to you, and if it works i can do it with lots more detail

    ofcourse i dont mind
sorry for the lack of an update that i promised but some personal things came up

also the possibility that the fanfilm i wanted to make is never going to happan has increased 10 fold in the past few weeks so i'm a bit depressed
i spent 3 months writing a script and i'm still tweaking it but the people i need at this point dont want to help so far i only got a few people who want to rotorscope the lightsabers but there is nothing to rotorscope yet so its pretty much pointless

sorry to hijack the thread for a moment but if anyone is interested in helping me make a starwars fanfilm about grievous then feel free to send me an e-mail or a PM

    and now back on topic

that rotorscope looks pretty good man too bad the model isnt textured yet

    suprise suprise

i present to you my very first animation i ever made
and it happans to be on grievous a nice walkcycle

i know there's still some problems with it but this is just to show you a working animation

dont pay too much mind that the arms arent attached thats because i dont know how to rig those yet cause they bend in a rather anoying manner wich i still need to devise a functional rig

wel wadda ya think i know its my first animation but still feel free to rip it apart and give as much positive and negative feed back as you can :p
