Yes, the Wolverine flicks earned enough money, which is why they will do a third one.

Pretty sure Boba could be as popular as Wolverine, Thor or Captain America.

Any film has the potential to be a bust but being a Star Wars film it has an advantage most don't at the very least. Iron Man wasn't near as popular as it's become before the first film was released but it was successful because it was a good movie. There's nothing stopping a Boba Fett film from being a good movie either. Get the right story, the right actor and you can catch lightning in a bottle.

How about Javier Bardem? I think he could play a menacing bounty hunter.

A single Boba Fett movie would likely do very well at the box office. Subsequent success would, likely, require at least some quality in the first one.

    This.

Ha, that's an interesting suggestion! Whether it works or not, it won't be boring.

Except for what the Coen Brothers were able to do with him, I've always found Javier Bardem to be an extremely boring actor. I also don't relish the thought of Fett's accent mysteriously changing from New Zealandish to Spanish. Fett really doesn't need a big name to work. If Morrison, Taylor, or Logan won't work, they should really get another Maori for the part.

How about Manu Bennett (Azog in The Hobbit, Slade Wilson in Arrow)? He's certainly badass enough, and can throw in his Kiwi accent if need be...

What if he's been training a son/daughter/clone to enact his vengeance for him, and we only see him in the ST as a mentor figure to the new Fett rather than mixing it up in the action himself?

If he's in the ST, I think this has to be the kind of role he fills, really. Leave his action scenes for the stand-alone.

As anyone who has been paying attention already knows, I'm absolutely down for a Boba Fett picture!

All the better if it's set post-ROTJ.

I'd never heard of this guy before, so I looked him up. Yeah…I'd say he's our Boba. Good call. =D=

I think that there is no need to bring him back to the ST. I think the ST is a better opportunity to introduce a new bounty hunter character that could be even cooler.

Now the spin-off on the other hand...that would be cool, but I think it will almost definitely be before Episode IV. That at least is what I would think would be best. Nothing in the OT prohibits Han and Boba having a history when they were younger, and the fact that Han knows who he is in ROTJ practically suggests that they do. So I'm totally with the idea of two movies--a Han origin movie and a Boba origin movie, where they overlap and connect in some cool way.

If you really want to see how badass Manu can be, you have to watch him on Spartacus: Blood and Sand as Crixus.

    Crazy stuff.

Def might vote for Boba. In fact, now I'll be disappointed if he's not.

As of yet, there is none. It's a rumor, so this thread is just speculation / discussion. If it turns out the rumors are indeed true, it will be re-labeled Official Info by the mods.

I doubt 2 hours of Boba Fett screaming in agony in the Pit of Carkoon would be that big of a draw....

I would watch it because it is Star Wars and I have all levels of faith in Kasdan when it comes to the franchise. He is still a lame character as far as the films go. They could do so much better going in other directions. I would like them to introduce new characters from the new forthcoming era. Perhaps a character that is not so lame but happens to be a Mandalorian.

And one of the most ruthless, powerful gangsters in the galaxy got choked to death by a 110 lbs girl in suede boots and a metal bra.

We all can't face deaths worthy of our lives, no matter how acclaimed. :p
