Is Chewie naked ?

Here's a serious question : is Chewie naked or does he have somekind of protection ?
We know that humans of all races (in the real world : earth)wear clothes for protection...
If the wookees go out naked like dogs or bears, it actually gives us alot of info concerning the civilisation of their world
