is cloud city part of courasont?

    Cloud city is a part of Bespin.. not coruscant

    No. Cloud City is quiet mining colony on the gas giant Bespin, which is way out in the Outer Rim (Coruscant is in the Core).

    Two very different places, my friend.

    No, cloud city is a city built in air. As others said, it's part of Bespin, not Coruscant.

    Anyways, Cloud City is not a part of Coruscant. :)

    Rather, here is a nice description of Cloud City... ;)



    At 60,000 kilometers above the planet of Bespin, Cloud City is a immense floating metropolis. The main industry of the city is Tibanna gas mining, but the city also features luxury hotels, casinos, and shopping plazas; all free from the Empire. The population of the city is six million, and the Empire sees them as a negligible population in the Tibanna gas market.

    There are 392 levels and a surface plaza in the city. The high plazas are for tourism, and the lower plazas are used to collect the Tibanna gas. The lowest levels also contain the 3,600 repulsorlift engines which keep cloud city afloat. Tractor beam projectors draw Tibanna gas into the structure, where it can then be harvested.

    Location:     In orbit around the gas giant Bespin, in the Bespin system near Anoat
    Indigenous Species: Humans, Ugnaughts and assorted foriegn aliens
    Climate: Moderate temperature; windy
    Terrain: Artificial- All City
    Areas Of Star Wars Interest: Carbon-freezing chamber, Landing Platform 327, Tibanna gas processing plants, deep reactor shafts

    I can't understand how anyone can even think that Cloud City is on Coruscant. Han clearly says it's in the Bespin system.

    Bib: Well, in all seriousness, one not aquianted with Coruscant as a core world may not know what system it is in.

    As such, both locations are similar in construction (city covered with large buildings), presenting a chance to easily misinterpret it as a part of the planet Coruscant. ;) :)
