Speculation Is Disney Capable of Learning the Lessons of John Carter and Phantom Menace?

Aw come on Manos is great! It's one of the greatest MST3K episodes ever made.

 

Of course it is! That episode of the show was a comedic masterpiece; but that's only because of Joel and the 'bots sitting there in the theater cracking wise. But try watching the film on its own and see how long you last before you start wanting to open your wrists. I'd be dead by the end of the opening car ride sequence, and that's before we even get to Torgo...

I'm watching the MST3K version right now just because I Are The Internets reminded me how funny it was.

There's a kickstarter that recently finished, re-creating Manos: The Hands of Fate... with PUPPETS. "Manos: The Hands of Felt" is the title.

 

Because people are stubborn and only see what they want to see.

Yeah, he could do the second film in the trilogy and call it "Star Warss"

 

So then David Fincher could do the third one having to put up with studio interference causing the film to be delayed for 6 years and then Luke would die horribly in the end.

The PT and OT did NOT have "the exact same formula", to be exact.

If it were only directed at "endless online arguments".....but I've seen it directed against general movie-goers when they don't like a (SW) film.

There is no lesson to be learned from TPM what they should do is look at the fan service failure known as superman returns

 

I have never seen anyone talk about that movie that much, even when they were advertising it.

 

Because that movie did what expanded universe failed to do hell hammer ruin the superman franchise and make me walk out in the middle of it the only redeeming quality was supermans kid now that's a problem
