    My mother is hardcore Italian. We have a picture of the Pope and "The Last Supper" in our dinning room. My father owns a wholesale food business that sells to restaurantes and pizzerias. I used to work there. Trust me, sauce and gravy are made from different bases.

    However, I'm sure some restaurantes and households use the two interchangeably. I'm giving you the real deal though.
