does that two-headed anouncer in the pod races just annoy you?! There is just something about him that just makes me want to go into a blind rage and eat his face off.

Well...I wouldn't want to eat him, but yeah he's pretty annoying.

I thought he was ok, but you're right, a one-header would have fit the bill better.

--Just an irrelevant sidenote, I went back to watch that scene and I noticed on one of the panels in the announcer's box is that schematic of the first Death Star from the briefing in A New Hope. Yeah.....just thought I'd make that observation while I'm at it. :p

Objectively, I see him as a failed experiment, which is mainly what TPM was all about: Trying different things, new technologies, alternatives to how things were done back in the day. We know from early drafts that GL always intended the star wars movies to be full of the weirdest looking aliens from Men in Black, you've ever seen. This, however fails, because the announcer sounds like he's from our world, using the same idiomatic phrases we use. Coming from a human, it works. From a two headed thingy whatever, it's slightly distracting.

Every sports event has a co-commentator, just turns out this one has one also...but they'r the same body.

Give Greg Proops some respect, guys. He's actually pretty funny, most of the time.

I think he's just there to be like your average commentator...i.e. trying to be humorous. Didn't pay much attention to his green head, however.

I really didn't like him. A two headed alien was just weird. I hope he was just a mutant of his species and there aern't anymore 2 headed freaks like him running around.

Personally, I never hated him, and actually thought that he was pretty funny.

After hearing how many of the fans took to it, however, I think that it may have been better for George to stick with a one-headed announcer that spoke subtitled Huttese.

    Mace Windy,
    too windy for spoilers!

I think Deeysew probably has a point. Ep.I was the first Star Wars film is something like 20 years. Lucas probably didn't for absolutely sure what people were going to go for.

I think maybe what annoyed me the most is the way they moved around and how they both had goofy smiles on there faces.

I thought they were funny, especially when they did the 'cabbage patch' dance after Anakin won the podrace.

The two-headed announcer is just one of several things in TPM that really annoy me.

Two-headed announcer didn't bother me that much. I'll take him over Ben Quadrenaro.

The fact that he had two heads is what annoyed me. The commentary and remarks were fine but the two heads looks kind of retarded. Actually really retarded now that I think about it. But oh well.

a lot of tings in TPM annoyed me, the two headed announcer was definitely not the smallest offender.

But he's the tragic heart of the saga!

If by that you mean the fact he was in the Saga, then I agree :p

I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be a nod to Zaphrod Beeblebrox.

Most of TPM is a "tribute" to something or another.
