If the mods things it's getting out of hand, they'll do something about it. Imo, from what I've seen, it's pretty benign here.

Also, l do like how Hef is fretting about the normalisation of violence against a group of fellow traveller anti-intellectuals whose twin banners - the Confederate pornstache or whatever it's called, and the National Socialist Swastika - were banners raised by people who waged war against the United States. So unless you've a specific pre-emptive concerns about the fourth Geneva Convention being breached, it's a really tone-deaf and historically vapid position to take.

I wonder if people were asked if it was okay to punch an Islamist in the face, if they would answer the same? Why are western fascists exempt from being attacked, whilst Islamic fascists clearly wouldn't be?

In my personal case I wouldn't personally go looking for fascists to punch - but if I was confronted by a Nazi and he started spouting any of his crap...

But you're a huge fan of the empire which borrows much of its fashion/symbolism from fascists.

 

Yes, my point is that clearly white fascists are given way too much lee-way compared to the (mostly) non-White variety, especially given history. You would agree that Islamists are essentially fascists of another variety, even if it's based more around religion and less around 'race'. This is why a world of just fascists would end even without nuclear weapons - it would all work down to the last two tribes destroying eachother and the final tribe destroying itself through self division.
