Is it time for Star Wars to revisit shooting in digital?

    Whatever you might think of Lucas and the prequel movies themselves, it was a bold move at the time to shoot AOTC completely digital and he got criticized by some for it. 16 years later, we're seeing a major shift with technological advancements in Red HD and Arri Alexa cameras. A lot of major filmmakers and cinematographers have gone digital already.

    I believe a filmmaker should stick to what they prefer and what they're comfortable with and Abrams will likely stick with 35mm for Episode IX. For me, it just seems like a lot of these directors are just delaying the inevitable.

    Well, Rogue One was shot digitally, and I'm pretty sure Solo is as well.
