Because if it is...mmmm boy. Asuming my coloring book is a ligitimate source of information in the Star Wars universe, I have the following questions-

1.) Does the page asking the reader to "lead Jar-Jar to his Gungan friends at the center of the maze" have any implication to a sub-plot in Episode II?

2.) Is there a possibility one or more EII characters will be "colorific"?

3.) On page 5, both the Ewoks and Gungans are "sharing and growing" together. Is it possible they will meet in Episode II?

I, indeed, must beg to differ, Lightsabre. Can you name any other piece of SW literature that is both "colorific" and "funtastic" ? By the way, how did you get the name lightsabre? You must have gotten to this newsgroup pretty early to reserve a name like that.

Had I known that Admiral Squidboy was up for grabs I would have reconsidered. Seriously, what does your post have to do with your topic?

CANON means establishing that a particular piece of Star Wars media is a ligitimate source of information regarding the Star Wars universe. If a source is CANON then logical deductions can be made from it concerning Episodes II and III
I want to know if the hilarious escapades in my Jar-Jar coloring book are CANON.

As I said before, Squidboy, it is not. What is Canon, you ask?

Lightsabre is wrong again, as usual. In Star Wars Insider #23 LucasFilm officially states that the Jar Jar Coloring Book is part of Canon, in fact it is higher in status than the novelisations.

$%*# I screwed up my USB code Let me try again.
    CANON
That's better. Anyway, I'm getting really tired of your attitude problem, lighsabre. If radio dramatazations can be canon, why can't "Jar Jar's Adventures: A Coloring Book" be? They are on the same intelletual level, almost.

I did not realize this was this case, Chyren.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Squidboy, I was only trying to help. If my answer did not satisfy you, and it was wrong, which Chyren 'respectfully' pointed out, that's your problem. However, I find it difficult to believe that a coloring book carries more weight than the EU. Perhaps I should buy it, so I am up-to-date on all that is truly SW.
My question is answered, no thanks to Lighsabre.

I certainly hope the Jar Jar colouring book is canon (and I suspect it is). I for one did not like the dark turns the series made starting with ESB, and see the prospect of Gungans and Ewoks sharing to be a welcome departure from all this "Sith" business. And I think a lot of fans will agree, seeing as the Gungans and the Ewoks are the two most popular groups of characters to be introduced to the series. Cheers to you Admiral! Greatest thread ever!

How about action figures? If the radio dramatazations are canon and if a coloring book is canon, then my action figures and their packages are also canon.

Is it ever! Acutally, Hung Solo, we're trying to carry on a serious discussion here. Where was I? Oh yeah, I was scraping the barnacles off of Lightsabre's sense of humor.

Glub darmit, I am getting sick of this silliness!

NO, the action figures are not canon, neither is the toothbrush, but Ric McCallum said on an online chat with Leonard Maltin in 1999 that the Jar Jar Fruit Pop with the extendable candy tongue IS canon, and is actually more canon on LucasFilm's list of attribution than the Radio Dramas.

I, too, am indeed sick of Lightsabre's unending silliness. We are trying to carry on a repectable conversation here, Lighsabre . You can take your immature joking and your light-hearted Tomfoolery elsewhere. Some people take Star Wars seriously, you know. Jeesh.

I have an R2-D2 noisemaking thingy that I got from pizza hut as a sort of happy-mealish prize for ordering a taco pizza. The R2 makes a noise that, if I were to try to sound it out, would be something like this:

    dooodoo-de--DOO--DEE-DEEEEEEE-de de----DO do, do DO

Now, I've never heard R2-D2 make that noise in any of the three existing movies. Perhaps the noise contains some information about the two as yet unfinished movies. Can anyone understand astromech droid. Do we have a 3PO unit handy to decipher??

I'd just like to apologise to you all now, because if the ESB bedsheets I had as a kid are Canon, then things don't bode well for the prequels...
Just thought I should tell you...

I have a Chance card from the Episode I Star Wars that says "Your Droid Won Second Place in a Beauty Contest" with the visage of
C-3PO's skeletal frame. Is that "canon?"
