I was wondering in AOTC, Obi Wan is captured on Geonosis and Mace Windu decides to go and help him.He takes 200 jedi knights and only some 15-20 survive. Why couldn't he have waited for the clones and let Obi Wan die. Then there wouldn't have been so little jedi left and Yoda wouldn't have to go to Kashyyyk and Sidious wouldn't have won. It was kinda stupid of Mace Windu don't you think?

    1. The Jedi didn't know that the Sepratist army would be ready yet.
    2. This was probobly seen as a way to end a war before it took off. There would be fewer lives lost if the Sepratists were attacked when their army wasn't ready yet, and the clones might not even be needed.
    3. Given the above circumstances, it would be beter for the Jedi to save Obi-Wan because, whlie he may not be super important, he was a pretty good Jedi, and he was Anakin's master. If Obi-Wan died, it would be hard on Anakin, and the Jedi wouldn't want to risk that because Anakin might start having some Dark Side feelings. Plus, he wasn't ready to be a Jedi Knight yet, so the Council would have to decide what to do with him.
