Is Padme a sick little girl

Watchin TPM the other night when something kind of hit me all of the sudden. in the part where they are leaving Watto's shop, Padme turns to Anikin to tell his how glad she was of meeting him. She gives him a look, that said to me "i want you". I guess that's not a bad thing, but consideting that Anikin was 9; does this make her a child abuser.

If one of us was making eyes at a 9 year old little girl, we would probably be given the chair.

She was a child as well. She's only got 5 or 6 years on him.

she's 14 and anakin is 9 going on 10. and there's nothing in the look that suggests she was thinking of him sexually. that's all you, buddy.

But, I really didn't get a "I want you" vibe from her, anyways.

 

She does everything but bite of her lip and whink at him. But i guess that's just my impression of it.

I think it was more a look of "haha, you're a cute little kid." She may have felt a connection as a friend, but nothing more. You're trying to turn the scene into something it isn't. This shouldn't even be an issue.

 

She's only 4ish years ahead of him, so it's roughly the exuivelent of a High School Senior Dating A freshmen. We've all been there at one point. There is nothing really "wrong" with older people loving younger people, it becomes wrong when it's disgusting 47 year old men abbusing 10 year old girls/boys. But in this case as it is honest love, there is nothing worng at work here, love is pure.
