I disagree. The original trilogy never mentioned the emperor being a Darth.
It never mentioned him being a Palpatine either.

Nor does it mention if there's a Mrs. Sids - how can an Emperor rule without an Empress?
You disagree that the Emperor is a Darth. Well, I disagree that the Emperoror is a man!
An emperor can rule by himself. What does him having a wife have to do with anything?
I'm just saying that the OT never mentioned sidious, so I don't associate the word darth sidious with being the emperor's title in the OT.
