I don't know how to search the forum. Seriously. Tell me how. I say that because I'm sure this is already a thread.

Is anyone certain that Snoke is a hologram? Couldn't Snoke be a force ghost?

I still think Darth Bane, was able preserve his force spirit. Filoni made comments it was an illusion created by the Priestesses and stuff like that, but my gut still tells me that Bane was truly there. Not calling Filoni a liar per say, but he is showbiz like Lucas was.

Why would a Force Ghost use a hologram?

Why would he bring a throne with him? [face_laugh]

Snoke tells Hux to come to him (wherever he actually is) and bring Kylo Ren. So he *is* somewhere and not just in the ether. I think that eliminates this possibility.

The novel states clearly that Hux/Kylo are conversing with a hologram of Snoke.

I don't get that impression that he is a ghost entity. Just some malformed ancient creature.

Early Star Wars concept art did have a Sith spirit trapped in Yavin which became the basis for the EU Exar Kun's storyline when he attacks Luke and his students.

It was said in the TCW episode itself that Bane was not real, but created by the priestesses.

Was pretty ambiguous on the toon, I don't remember them stating directly that Bane was one of their illusions. I just checked the wookiepedia , they have Darth Bane's spirit as Darth Bane's spirit.

the priestesses appeared after the Darth Bane encounter with Yoda. And they immediately said from here on out everything will be out of their control. Implying that the previous encounter with Bane was actually their doing.

Certainly not a force ghost. Rather, you should be asking who was in the room when they came up with the name: Snoke. And which of those persons said "yes, that's a great name" and who just kept quiet.
