ST Is the Force Awakens the best laziest film ever written, really?

I just came across this video on YouTube and it puts forward a fairly interesting question, 'Is The Force Awakens the Best Laziest Film ever written?'



The presenter is a bit annoying on the vid, but he does raise an interesting point. As good as the film was I couldn't get over how they used a similar plot to two of the original three movies. Looking at the credits of the writers as individuals they are pretty amazing, put them together and they could cough out a blockbuster, so why did they use a plot that had already been done twice?

 

Let's be honest, the grand majority of films can be boiled down to one of what... 7 plots? Doesn't make them lazy.
