Mushrooms are the true affliction. They grow in the nastiest of places and some twisted soul years ago looked at one and said "I wonder what that tastes like chopped up in my salad with some gorgonzolla or feta?" and then ate the damned thing while convincing their friends to do the same. They are nasty, nasty little things which I wouldn't eat if my survival depended upon it.

I went into this thread expecting to find a serious debate I truly am a fool.

Anyway, I say no (though not in the poll as due to the God qualifier). Humans aren't an affliction on anything. We're as much a part of the system as everything else. Sure, we're disrupting world ecology on an industrial scale which is bad for all life, including us, but it's not as if this will have a lasting impact. There have been tons of mass extinctions over the Earths history but life just keeps bouncing back.
