ST Is the plot for all SW films the same?

There's a war. There are 2 sides fighting. One side wants to attack and destroy the others' base.

ANH: Both side want to destroy each others base. The rebels want to destroy the mobile base, the Death Star. The empire wants to destroy the rebel base.

ESB: the empire wants to destroy the rebel base.

ROTJ: the rebels want to destroy the empire's new mobile base, the Death Star.

TFA: the rebels want to destroy the empires base and probably vice versa.

 

Destroying a base is part of every war movie. The effects of the war on the people involved is the real story.

Well, in theory, there aren't that many plots to begin with.

Here's a theory claiming that all stories can be divided into 7 basic plots. I've also seen 13 plots, or 5 plots, but, either way, it's not that much.

And the PT was not about destroying bases, but it's true that they are going for an OT feel.

 

This would be better in SWC.
