Lit Is their an example of synthetic biology in Star Wars canon?

    This probably isn't exactly what you're looking for because it's not explicit, but the Frigosians in the short story, "The Face of Evil", are messing around with synthetics. The story itself is about someone paying for a makeover (that involves regrowing bones, flesh, etc synthetically), but there's a part that explores their lab's basement a little more that implies they're doing a lot more than just regrowing organic tissues.
