In old canon, Coruscant had solar mirrors that focused the sun on the planet. Is it mentioned in any canon sourcebook or novel?

Are they even canon? In Legends a big deal was made that Coruscant was pretty far from its sun. Is that the same in canon?

Not that I've seen so far. And as per Darth Invictus's comment, the Prequels especially seem to show Coruscant's sun as being relatively close (that big sunset in TPM and the opening shot of ROTS) so the "tiny, distant sun" thing might not hold true any more, hence not much need for orbital mirrors in the new canon.

Well Coruscant's distance isn't like Pluto in our solar system but given Legends sources probably at the edge if not beyond just a little bit the habitable zone.

Also the planetary dynamics in that solar system made have played into it.

The canon edition of Complete Locations still says that Coruscant orbits relatively far from its sun (varying from 207 million to 251 million kilometers), but any mention of the solar mirrors has been removed.
