JCC Is there a name for a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise?

    We simply call it Mayoketchup down here. It's used as a simple salad dressing or dipping sauce for fritters and sandwiches. You really can't go wrong with it.

    Every time I've mixed mayo and ketchup together it has reminded me of this.

    I know that some restaurants will serve it and call it "Salsa Rosada" or "Marie Rose" sauce.


    Edit: I won't link to it, but there's a splendid definition of "Ketchup and Mayonnaise" on Urban Dictionary. Not for the squeamish.

    Oh please, you've all eaten the stuff anytime you've ordered a burger with mayo and ketchup on it.

    A well-mixed mayo-ketchup sauce makes a simply awesome dip for turnovers and any fish, chicken, yucca or plantain fritters. Yeah, I'm hungry now. :p

    "Salsa rosada" a local name given to mixed Alfredo and Marinara sauces. For some reason I'm not that crazy about that mix.

    junkfoodtaster.com. I wish I had thought of that.

    The site also features a horse sausage (Pferdewiener) tasting. Just about the ideal food to pour that ketchup mayo on.
