Is there a rehab center for game addicts?

I need one really bad, almost 12 hours a day gaming.

I'm sorry, I'm in the same boat too.My grades are suffering. And I haven't started the semester yet...

We should start a Gamers Anonymous or something. =)

I live on my own and go to my sis to play games. My gas expenses are ridiculous and considering I stay over most of the time, it's getting pathetic cos I still pay for rent & bills for my apartment. Gaahhhh

And I just installed civII in my roomate's computer. Like that would help...

 

i spend too much time gaming.
escaping from crap i should be dealing with.
can't keep this up for ever.
i either get a job in the games biz, or i go off and experience everything else i want to experience but can't while my ass in glued to this seat for the majority of my day.
i'm having trouble deciding how to even mix the two.
people can give you lots of advice, but they simply can never know *you* and what would really best.

and believe or not, all we be decided for me this semester, because I can't afford to stay in limbo like this another semester, period.

there is at least one support group I have heard of, and its primarily for former EverQuest addicts like myself(played 18 hours a day over the summer), i forget the url at the moment.

 

I'm a gaming addict formost over star wars fandom.

 

Most was 36 hours of pure gaming for me.

 

36? Dude, that's nothin. 42 straight hours over here. =(

I don't think I'm that bad, seriously. I estimate I play about 8-12 hours a week, give or take. That's not bad, considering I could be smoking weed in that same time period. We're getting a mall in my town this year or in the beginning of next. It's supposed to be huge, and they'll have an EB. I'll be woking there. =)

 

Well lately its been way to long on the damn machines.
And the JC is bad 2, we need a rehab bad.

 

hehe we all wish there was =) except for me =) I go to school, get on right when I get home from school and get off right when I "should" hehe. Sometimes I do homework while I play TC or other strategy games =) hehe.

when its time to eat a meal, you sprint to the fridge, grap a gob of leftover crap, and bring it back to the keyboard to eat and continue playing at the same time.

come to think of it, I haven't eaten a square meal lately. And that time with eating a 4 hour-old pizza? That's unheard of even for me. I never pass up pizza. But I guess a New Yorker would be far too messy to eat and play at the same time

ok, some rhetorical questions. well, if a square meal is a well rounded meal, how is that possible? would pizza count as a square meal, or a well rounded meal, both?

well, there's a way to get a catheter up um.. and you can have an IV drip so you won't need to um, excrete solids =). Tis possible, but I doubt that'll happen

As for a square meal, a pizza is a well-rounded one, specially meat lovers. Just toss in some slaw. Taadaa =)

Dang, I haven't eaten anything besides a chunk of banana-nut bread. This is bad...

well, I'm not *that* good at CS yet, and I did have my niece on my lap most of the game (plonking on the keyboard - wrecking my left hand, tugging at my phones, causing chaos as usual); and if she weren't, she was balling so I had to sing her to sleep/talking to her and waving her toys all the while playing =) Thats why I was afk most of the time.

That's why nobody would ever persuade me to have my own kids =)

Anyhoo, even without her, I doubt I'll be that much beter =)

But I played CS for a while this morning. Enjoyed it. It was funny cos some people started speaking in spanish, and some in german. I got asked if I were german (in german), I said "nein =)" then people started cracking jokes... it was hilarious.
And I didn't stop till 6:45 then I had to drive home and go to work. I haven't slept yet...

See? Rehab's for me.

 

yes. We should start a center for game addicts, first things we need are about 20 top of the line comps. a network and a oc connection.

 

um, wouldnt' that.... aggravate matters?

Hehe, if that were a real rehab, I'd drop everything and go =)
