I received notice of PAYING markets for people who write and act in audio dramas. I thought some ppl here might be interested.

Pays "minimum" (though actors/playwrights/readers wanting to help build up a portfolio would benefit as would readers interested in promoting audio stories) for First Irish Performance Rights (prefers unperformed anywhere), POP. "...looking for plays in any genre, but no humorous or comical plays. Plays with a mystery/horror/detective background welcomed, but generally if its good it will be considered. Plays must be submitted in a 5 minute, 15 minute, 30 minute, 1 hour, 2 hour or longer time scale. Please keep to these times. Work must not have been previously published. " E-mail subs OK, embedded or attached (any format). Include separate title/time measure page. Mark envelope "Audio." Multisubs OK (within reason). Black Rose Publications are also seeking voice readers for audio plays & audio readings. Readers/Actors should send a 10 minute demo tape. If acting other accents please give a reasonable account. BRP hopes to build a database to work from, selecting stories to suit interesting voices. Tapes are non-returnable. Send a SASE or e-mail address for a receipt reply.

 

Is that email address right, I just tried to send an email, and I got a message saying the email addres doesn't exist.

It hasn't bounced back yet, but I didn't get a reply either.
