In either Iron Fist or Solo Command, Face suggests Isard may be alive. He says she wasn't known as a pilot, so it doesn't make sense for her to pilot a shuttle, and that it's possible that there was a mini hypercomm on the shuttle so there wouldn't be timelag when she was talking to her persuers. Wedge gets very upset about the possibility, and promises he'll get right on it with NRI.

Then, in Isard's Revenge, Iella says that no one's ever looked into that possibility...

It could just be that NRI just didn't look into it, but it probably is a plot hole.

it is in fact the very planned plot hole Mike used to explain Isard's survival.

Wedge probably just got sidetracked with all the excitement with zsinj and forgot all about face's thoughts.

Wedge nearly had a frickin' heart attack when Face said she was alive...not something you immediately forget...still, it's annoying, even if it's not TRULY a plothole...

I say Wedge reported it to NRI and NRI never looked into. That's why Iella said that.
