ST Isn't the new trilogy just a rehash?

The New Star Wars Film? - Is it highly derivative?

We've all seen the two trailers for the new SW film. There've been rumours that the cast feel they're going over old ground. Many have pointed out that the story ends after ROTJ. Is the film merely a retread of what we've seen previously?

JJ Abrams. Great as a producer, in television (Lost), even in film (Cloverfield), but a great director himself? No! Not by anyone's standards. (The Star Trek's.)

The chrome trooper. How original is he? A helmeted warrior; the gun he carries, the way he carries it; the half-length cape? - He's clearly based upon Bob a Fett isn't he? He may not be an actual Mandalorian, but a Boba Fett character copy, visually, he is.

Kylo Ren?! - Does he have a sidekick named Stympie? Ren and Stympie? Why does he wear a mask? Darth Vader did but with good reason. He needed to. Does Kylo, or is it just for the sake of having a masked villain?

Flying into the superstructure of a super star destroyer. Isn't that just a copy of flying into the superstructure of the Death Star in ROTJ? Is it just a copy? Is there even a target inside the downed super star destroyer?

I wonder if this new film has anything genuinely new and original in it, or if it's just a polished re-hash for the money?
