Let's wait for Denmark to knock England, then Brazil out, then they're in the semi-finals with no more good teams to go against them ;)

Kind of strange, huh, Denmark's gotta face up against those 2 teams next (if they beat England it's Brazil!)

Hmm, it would be nice if Sweden and Denmark met in the semi, we just have to win against Senegal and probably Japan or Turkey.

    I love Portugal. :(

Well it was bad of them to get two red cards, totally unnecessary.

I guess from the point when Portugal got their 1st red card onwards it said a lot about their playing standards, and the second red card just confirmed that this wasn't the Portugal that we were looking forward to see...

...the Poland goals were nice! :)

And Germany beat Paraguay and is clear for the quarters, it was a quite boring game though.

The goal near the end was a rather disappointing end to the game :( I had actually been waiting for extra time after having seen the match which was quite boring...

It's good that Oliver Kahn didn't let in any goals, though - he gets his dream birthday present. Did anybody hear the German fans singing "Happy birthday to you" to him near the start of the match? :)

    Denmark lost :(

Denmark lost, Sweden lost, Ireland lost, all the teams that I've really liked so far have lost, I hope that trend doesn't continue when it's time for Italy to play.

    USA won!
    What the ***K
oh my god, USA is going to the quarter finals, what the hell is going on in this World Cup.

First 3 favorites never made it to the next round, France, Argentina & Portugal and now this.

If Spain are going to lose the next round, I'll never ever watch football again.

This World Cup is pretty *****d up...

At least Portugal got a chance during Euro 2004 :D

Where does the next World Cup takes place?

Note: I am Portuguese.... (Damn Referee, South-Korea won because Portugal had only 9 players, (and they had chances to make it 1 - 1) they should change the red card rule, it's not fair!)

Even if I'm as upset as you are over Portugal, I don't think it was just the refs fault.

And the next WC is in Germany.

Obi Anne: Apparently, it has been that way... Korea 2 Italy 1 AET (1-1 after normal time)...

Congratulations Korea, their fans sure are going wild! :) :D

I think that Iker Casillas played a good game for Spain :)

Ironically, although I'm a Singaporean (and thus an Asian), I'm not hoping that Korea will win. I don't think their standard of play has been that high; it was a mighty amount of luck that got them past Italy and Spain; especially Spain, their disallowed goals must have hurt because there was really nothing about it to disallow at all.
