Temps say 5 degrees Farenheit. And going outside to get a car isn't fun anymore. Having asthma every breath is like breathing in knives. The cold air makes my lungs hurt because of my asthma. Did I mention the furnace hasn't really shut off for eight hours now. And nothing like touching metal outside without gloves. And you know its really cold when it warms up to snow.
my asthma allows me to shoot knives out of my lungs. let me tell you - it will come in handy after all the gruns are banned.
It was 19 at 2800' when I snow-shoed on Tuesday - 37 when I got home to 280'. Now our inversion is gone, it was WARM today in the 40's - no coat needed to go to the mailbox.
We're supposed to get an ice storm tomorrow. Should be interesting as few people around here have a clue how to drive in winter weather.
I just wanna ask the scientists on the JC something: I remember in the movie Silent Running that they say that in the future Earth of the movie, it's 72 degrees Fahrenheit year round, despite there being no plants or trees left on Earth, not even a blade of grass. Just how the heck would such a thing be possible?
i feel like there's kind of a lot of sarcasm going on in this thread and i just wanted to say keep up the good work.
Winter (/ˈwɪntər/ WIN-tər) is the coldest season of the year in temperate climates, between autumn and spring. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter And after our short wave of 30F weather we had the last week, SoCal's been in the blissful 70s this week.
