Yes fun events then there was talk of warhammer 40k which was fun till some one spoiled that and asked to get back on track talking about C4

 

Then make a warhammer thread and restart it there

I was the one who mentioned getting back to C-4.
I was also the one who started the warhammer talk with my armor project.
I don't really think anyone minded, I was just excited about c-4.
But hey,I could talk about both all day.

Maybe we should break ranks and all go to c-4 dressed in the other emperor's finest's armor.

PS. I don't much about posting. Someone tell how to post pictures and I'll show you guys my progress.

 

That would work but would we all be in the same chapter of Space Marines?

What about the other Emperor's Cannon fodder the Imperial Gaurd, I think a comissar costume would be pretty nice.

James, you mentioned at the costuming meeting yesterday that you might be willing to let people borrow a few things, do you think it'd be possible for Steve to borrow a pair of black boots for his Jedi Luke costume? And if so, when would be a good time to come over and pick them up?

Yeah I said in the beginning of the year that I wanted to get back into the swing of spokantina things, but holy cow my life barely has enough time for the necessities. Things are slowing down a bit so I have been catching up today with all the recent posts.

I saw that the next meeting at Reannas house is on the 19th. I will make an effort to show up. I have some things that I want to talk about, games, costuming, cons, that whole lot. So I am going to try.

Speaking of Cons, is coming up May 26, 27, 28, 29. I figured I'd mention it one more time and see if anyone else was interested in going. Right only Uncle John, myself and my brother are going so I hope some of you would like to come as well.

The other Wookie color schemes are-black/dk. brown. and auburn/brown/blonde.
I'll try to post some pics. soon.
Also, I need to finish the heads. They will be cable controlled for mouth/brow movement. Will keep you up-dated.
PS. in those pics. the wookie looks kind of small but it's actually huge,(Tarfull sized)and very muscular.

PSS. Sure you can borrow some boots. Just call me to let me know when you want to pick them up.
Plus I still have that saber you designed.

How much convincing and how much to construct the armor, out of curiosity?

 

Does anyone have boots I could borrow that would work for an Imperial officer? I only have combat boots, and I couldn't find any good dress boots at the thrift places.

SwordSaint, I only could see one pic of a clone helmet, and one of the Wookiee. The rest are blue boxes, but what I could see looks fantastic.

I have tons of black german "jack" boots in many sizes. I collected them for my fan-film project. There just siiting around until then. You are welcome to borrow them,though I'm not sure how comfortable they'll be to run bloomsday in. I can be contacted at 456-2529.

Not much convincing. I'm re-sculpting my clone armor right now,(when I get tired of working on the space-marine suit.)
As for the price. I'm not really sure. It depends on what material I make them out of. I have a friend's father,(who welds and builds hydroplanes) helping me build a large, high powered vacu-form machine,(think Casey's armor.) Also I'm gonna try this liguid plastic that's near indestructable once hardened.
The vacu-formed plastic would be cheeper but the other would last you forever; you could drop it off your roof.
Whichever route I go(if not both),I'll cut you the best deal I can. I'm not trying to get rich. well, not off you guys anyway.

Yeah, I had some set-backs. It's hard to keep everyone motivated for as long as it takes to put something of that scale together(especially when you're doing most of it by yourself.) But I can still call on all of my actors/stunt people whenever I get ready.
One day I'll get it done.

In addition, since I'm making this Space marine armor, John( the owner of Merlyn's book+game store) wants me to make a Warhammer 40k fanfilm and says he's willing to help. So that's another script I'm writing.
On top of that, I'm working out ideas for a script told from the clones p.o.v.(think seven samurai)
With all this work I'll probably have a psychotic break soon.
Oh well, I do work at Eastern state hospital. I can just reserve a room now.

I think I was asleep for any/all armor discussing that went on after Bloomsday, so this should definately be the topic for discussion at the next meeting, assuming James can make it. I'd like to discuss the pros and cons of different materials, decide on one and set up some dates for work days where we can all get together and work to help James as best we can, whether that be painting, sanding, casting or whatever.
