Isn't it an April's Fool tradition to always have people saying that this year's prank was the worst ever? I don't know why people are surprised at this. I've come to expect and enjoy it as part of the celebration.

Popularity=/=Good Idea. Not saying its a bad idea (we all need levity every now and then and this promises to be memorable) but just because everyone drinks the punch doesn't make it a good idea.

 

I understand that that may true for many things, Spiderfan, but this is an April Fool's prank on a Star Wars message board. The only reasonable way to measure its successfulness or worth as an idea is how well it went over with its targeted audience.

 

I still don't agree but since I don't wish to get into a semantics battle I will let it go.

 

It was just a genuine attempt to have some fun, do something a little different, and get the users to have a few laughs. No trickery. Just go have fun. If you don't like it, okay, your opinion is noted. There are 300+ other boards to go to. That's the beauty here. It's not just two boards that you're forced to pick from. We have everything. Just go where you are comfortable in.

 

Kind of like a breakfast buffet!

 

To clarify: I am a fan, and I am enjoying it. In no way did I intend to suggest anything otherwise. All I was saying that because its a popular idea, that doesn't mean its a good idea.

But on the subject of forums, presenting a well thought-out case and evidence is not whining. You complained for a long time for a sports forum, and yet want to criticise others for doing the same thing?
