My nephew left me a message on my answering machine 2 days ago (that i only got last night).
He wanted to tell me that he is no longer wearing nappies and uses a proper toilet, and that he wants to come over and watch ODA (translation, he wants to watch star wars with me. he calls Yoda ODA, yoda is his favourite character)
That Oda thing is cute.
Man, I can't believe I am posting that.
ODA is cute. "A muppet I am, yes mmmm."
Ehhh, my sister has made it unmistakably clear that she's not going to name the kid after a Star Wars character. Especially since she heard about one of my friends naming her son Anakin.
Well, she is saving the kid lots of torment.
when i first saw star wars i called skywalker, skiwalker
i was 5 dave
I Used to call Darth Vader Dark Vader, but i learnt his real name in the OT, so i no longer call him Dark Vader, that was about 3 weeks ago kidding, when i was 4 i saw it at the cinemas and thats when i called him Dark Vader
I used to be scared to death when Han got frozen in ESB.
"Noo, they turned him into a crunch bar!!!"
Just received some nooz from my sis, who these days only speaks to us when she hopes we'll inflate her frickin' ego. She didn't want to find out in advance, but some duplicitous doctor advised her that ultrasound is now "standard procedure." (Feh, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn I want to show him...) At any rate, she's having a boy. And she's dead set against naming him after any Star Wars or LOTR character - including "Ben." (After hearing what her mother-in-law said about "Benjamin", I can't say I blame her.)
maybe you can surreptiosutly suggest a SW name...like Owen: "Hey, I thought of a good name! Owen!" do that
p.s. I used t ocal lhim "Dark Vader also"
I used to think a lightsaber was a "lifesaver" or something like that. There were probably some other ones but I can't remember.
Just thought I would share this picture of my Nephew Jacob. He's only four months old and already taking after me.(Note the fingers on both hands. )
LOL! yup, just like his uncle
4:00 this afternoon, my nephew Benjamin joined us on planet Earth. His due date was a wee bit overestimated, so none of us were expecting it, but my sister called a couple of hours ago to tell us. He's fine, she's fine, and we're probably going to go up and see them tomorrow or Saturday. Unbelievable...
Well, there's my nugget of happiness for the day.
Woohoo! Congrats Uncle Sebby Chris!
Congrats to you and your sis!
my nephew Benjamin
Obi-Wan for short?
Congrats, Chris to you and your family.
I am sure a future STAR WARS fan you will find has been born.
And he will want to learn the ways of the force in a few years.
Congratulations Chris! I hope you'll be sharing some pictures with us soon!
Thanks, everybody. Roy - LOL! If I'm ever babysitting him, I'll make sure he eats all his vegetables and watches all his Star Wars movies, and one day he may *want* to be known as Obi-Wan.
Roseanna, we're going up to see him in a few minutes; so if there's any pictures to be had, I'll be sure to put 'em up on the MSN site.
Congrats on the nephew!!! Just remember, the best thing that you could do is volunteer to watch the kid for a night. There's nothing that new parents love more than a night out after a few months of midnight feedings and endless diaper changes.
Congrats Chris! I'm happy for you, you have an apprentice now.
