What do you eat with or on your pancakes? Any fun Mardi Gras traditions?

I'm having pancakes with Nutella and whipped cream!

I haven't decided yet, I'm still waffling.

I don't use maple syrup. I use the syrup of the blood of my enemies on my pancakes.

Ham, cheese, and tomato slices. I don't shun syrup or blood though.

I love that this thread isn't full of anti religious whining. If people are using religion as an excuse to eat pancakes, that's fine. It's only when they use religion as an excuse to effect change in their lives that we get angry about it.

I don't celebrate Mardi Gras but I make pancakes for breakfast most Saturday mornings. I'll make the odd flavor when I can find it, pumpkin in the fall, gingerbread at Christmas. Last Christmas I made chocolate peppermint flavor.

Maple syrup (the real stuff) or powdered sugar.

I don't have time to make pancakes on weekdays, but I am partial to blueberry pancakes.

I'm not making pancakes (too tired after cooking at school), but I'd have chocolate chip pancakes.
