Ophelia tried to get people to say something and yet it still isn't working. Somehow her thread seems to have died. Where is everyone? It's excusable if everyone's reading the Dark Nest trilogy. Otherwise SPEAK UP!!! I guess we need a topic then. This is FanForce and so we ought to make it Star Wars related...
The Star Wars history envelopes a lot of time. There are times back from the very formulation of the Old Republic to events at the time of the New Republic and the New Jedi Order. Which period of Stars Wars history do you enjoy most?
I am a fan of the New Jedi Order era. The old jedi were awesome before the Empire and they could kick butt, but I prefer the feats of the new jedi.

Ophelia's been busy, I'm sure she'll be posting again soon.

I'd say my favorite time period would have to be the Clone Wars. A war that is enveloping the entire galaxy makes for good stories. There was tons of good stuff that came out of that time too, the cartoon, some awesome books, some of my favorite comics and even a few video games. I really hope that now that Episode 3 is out they don't stop making fiction for this period.

NJO was definitely cool too. I really wish they would have done more with that then just the novels. I would have loved to have seen some comics or something (other than that one story that was in Tales), there's so many new things and characters in that period and it would have been nice to see some artistic representations of that on something more than the book covers.

    I love Han..

I dont know what i like.
    I like it all.
I like thrawn...hes blue. and has puppys. matt says they arent puppys.
havent read much of the expanded stuff. but matt and i listen to the books when we go on road trips. that is fun..but matt answers all my billions of questions.

i guess i just like the movies..and the clone wars cartoons.
but im learning. its my goal to learn all of the speices of star wars.

Is it weird of me to say that I can honsetly do without most of the Star Wars movies? The EU is what has kept my fandom alive for pretty much my entire life, so I have become more dependant on it than anything else, really.

Except for swill like Children of the Jedi. Gah.

Anyone happen to have the audio versions of the Dark Nest Trilogy? I've already got a stack of real books to get to before those but I could definitely listen to it while I'm driving if someone could lend them to me.

I like Pier 39. When I could still eat clam chowder, had the best chowder in a sourdough bowl, ever. Also, there's a toy store there with a sign that says something like, "Go ahead and try the toys. Play!"

Also, the Exploratorium is a *great* place if you like kiddie fun, like flashing walls and optical illusions and being silly. Also, there's an art museum or something right there that's lots of fun.

Used to like the fashion/garment district.

The views from some of the parks is amazing.

Chinatown has great hole-in-the wall eateries.

    Take the BART places.

    Didn't GL move operations there?

See Lombard street. Or whatever that deadly, curvey street is.

Whatever you do, don't drive a stick shift in the hills. :~)

(I used to love going to SF growing up...I'd go at least once a year!)
