alright. pretty awesome movie. i'll have to stew on the plot for a few days, but the action was top notch. cgi arnie was a bit silly though.

Yep. haven't seen the film myself though.

UI heard the People of California said it wasn't fair for the Governator to be back...

So they just used a CGI version instead...

It is okay for him to come on British Adverts though, to advertise California...

That's sad. it would have been funnier if it had been the real one. :(

You can watch the film, Dafty, but it's not one of the best. Okay-ish, I'd say.

Also, just because Heath Ledge died did not make him a better Joker than Cesar Romero or Jack Nicholson.

And the Lord of the Rings Trilogy could have done with some editing.

(this should also go in Montie's "How to stir up geeks!!" thread)

    QFT!

    No, it didn't.
But then he was a better Joker before he died, actually.
Or did he have a ghost actor?

No, he was not a better joker, even before he died.

He was. The old one didn't as much as leave a memory in my head.

Not even form that - incredible series.
Actually, msot things batman-realted didn't make an impression on me at all.

Since TDK did, it must logically be the best Batman movie so far.[face_not_talking]

I think it's sad he dies. I wanted more Joker.
I hope that one day they'll just cast somebody else.

Of course these movies leave more of an impression, they are your generation's Batman. I had the Tim Burton films, which rocked, BTW... and I'm telling you, I'd put Jack Nicholson up against Heath Ledger any day, any time, any place. I think his performance will stand the test of time more.

    My generation's Batman? o_O

You do know how old I am, yes?
I remember watching the sereis on TV...

Also, I don't think that first batman film in the sereis was very good. I remember the blue flower best...

This is a ridiculous argument when it's clear that the best Batman movie was Batman & Robin.

You might have watched the original series on reruns, as it was cancelled before *I* was old enough to remember watching it.

And I'm telling you guys, we'll see in a few years how memorable Heath is as the Joker. Just wasn't impressed, anyone can act like a lunatic.

That may be. I was just saying that Burton is not 'my generation's Batman' because I grew up with the series. I also watched all of the films at least once. the most unforgetable (regretably) thing was Jim Cary in green tights. Other than that, I remember 'Kiss from a Rose' in connection with all otehr Batman films.

Since my dad works with lunatics, I pretty much grew up surrounded by them. (Yes even before I joined this board:p )

Ledger's doing a good job. Also, Nicholson'r Joker wasn't really mad, was he? Just a bit off-kelter - excentric...

    Marcus, apparently you're drunk.

    Nicholson's Joker was just mean.

I am not. The only bad thing about that movie was that there weren't any nipples on Alicia Silverstone's batsuit.
